The simple answer is no.

This means that from a tyre insurance perspective there is a clearly defined point in time at which your tyres were above the legal limit and in good condition. Garages just like us are heavily regulated and when you buy a vehicle you are protected in the eyes of the law in many ways. This means that your garage is legally bound to ensure that your tyres are safe and of merchantable quality. The manufacturer also wants to ensure that when you buy a vehicle that it has been prepared to exacting standards.
