Kawasaki celebrate thirty years of the ZX 10R

Tuesday 29th July 2014 14:27:53

30 years ago, the Kawasaki motorbike brand was introduced to the world and to celebrate thirty years as one of the worlds leading motorbike brands, the company are introducing thirty year anniversary models of some of their best selling bikes of all time. The first on the agenda is the ZX10R model. The original ZX10R was produced back in 2004 and now ten years later it has seen tremendous success right the way around the world. This model is a part of the Ninja line up that Kawasaki have on offer and are famous for. Over the years we have seen Ninja additions battle it out with other top manufacturers such as the Japanese brand Honda with their Fire blade line up. What has been done to the ZX 10R though to help commemorate thirty years on the market ?.

What will continue the reign of the Ninja ZX10R ?

Regarding changes and features that come along with this Ninja model, we see that a new paint scheme has gone on offer with this particular model and we see that come in the classic lime green but is also joined up with a 'Pearl stardust white' decal colour included. The Green colour as always helps the bike stand out and Kawasaki have also included bright green striping around the tyres to match up with the bodywork beautifully.

Regarding the engine to come along with this bike and some technical features, we see a four stroke liquid cooled engine come with the bike and a direct fuel injection system also helps this bike when it comes to throttle response times. A digital ignition system and an electric starter also come along with the thirty year ZX10R model as standard. A six speed transmission system as standard and a 17 litre fuel tank also complete this bike nicely. In the past we have seen the Ninja ZX10R go up against the likes of the Yamaha R6 and the S1000RR from German company BMW and without a doubt in our minds, this new thirty year anniversary model will also maintain as a healthy source of competition.

How much has the thirty year anniversary model gone on sale for ?

A cost of £12,349 brand new is the official purchase price on the thirty year ZX10R model. You can also opt for this bike with ABS fitted also for a total of £13,349.
