The new Volvo V60 Cross Country is given a 2015 release date
The brand new addition of the V60 Cross Country model from the Volvo brand has officially been given a release date for 2015 from the brand themselves and will look to challenge the likes of the Mercedes C Class. The vehicle which was revealed a number of months ago is expected to be a good seller for the mass manufacturer when it launches and will mark the third Cross Country model to be made available by the brand with the first being a variation of the V70 and the latest the V40 Cross Country. A new engine range was confirmed for the car earlier on this year aswell as some new features to come along with the bodywork and design structure of the vehicle. Ride height on the car has also been altered compared to that of the standard V60 model. This variant of the vehicle has been designed in an estate style which therefore means an increase on both leg and headroom in the car which will help give the vehicle more potential when it comes to taking on big competitors on the market such as the Scout version of the Octavia from Skoda.
The power and specifications of the Volvo V60 Cross Country
The Swedish manufacturer has confirmed that this vehicle will receive the options of three engine choices which will all come in the form of diesel units. A two litre, four cylinder engine can be found across the whole range but each variant will offer different ranges of power. A D3 diesel will see power of 161bhp where as if you choose for the entry level D4 unit a deliverance of 181bhp is the ending result. The most powerful engine across the board is the five cylinder D4 unit which gives out 187 brake horse power therefore putting it on par with the likes of the Audi A4. This variant does also benefit from a neat feature which is the four wheel drive platform that it runs on. The exterior of the car receives some adjustments also which consist of both front and rear skid plates, larger wheel arches and the choice now of either 18 or 19 inch alloy wheels. The additions of Black leather seating with brown stitching are the only changes to be found inside of the new V60.
