Wednesday 19th November 2014 10:37:21

A number of months ago the arrival of a brand new Mercedes AMG model known as the AMG GT was speculated and the Mercedes brand have now revealed its full range of specifications and pricing structures that will come along with it from its launch next year. Our first look at the AMG GT was in October of this year at the Paris motor show and now just over one month later we have all of the information that you could possibly want to know on this brand new vehicle. A full range of specifications and trims have been confirmed for the car including some of the new styling features that have been included. AMG and Mercedes Benz have a long standing partnership that has delivered on some of the most powerful and luxurious vehicles to ever be released onto the road. Now with the addition of the AMG GT, we see that this trend is set to continue.

A look ahead of what the Mercedes AMG GT has to offer

So what will this brand new model bring to the table that will help it out stand out as top contender on the road going up against rivals from BMW and Audi?. Well firstly, the power that is to be delivered to the vehicle range come from the fitting of a four litre,V8,twin turbocharged engine unit. Varied power ranges will also be delivered from the unit. 456 bhp and 503bhp are the two power outputs which range between both the GTS and GT1 edition range. The GTS will be the first edition of the vehicle to make it onto the road joined alongside at the same time as the Edition 1. The GT model however will arrive slightly later than these two vehicles. A seven speed, dual clutch transmission system has also been confirmed for all variations of the car.

Looking into the different equipment offered with the cars now, there are the GTS and Edition 1 these are the two range topping models which will offer you features such as a fixed rear wing,a larger front splitter and side skirting. Gloss Black 19 inch wheels can be found on the front of the Edition 1 and 20 inch wheels on the back. The GTS version is equipped with just 19 inch wheels. Suede and leather AMG sports seating are included in both vehicles and a brand new centre console design can also be found. A set of adaptive dampers can be found on the GTS model and numerous drive modes such as Comfort,Sport and Sport plus are also offered. This means that vehicles such as the Jaguar F Type could have a strong competitor on their hands with this new Mercedes line up.

The price range for the AMG GT line up

The GTS model has been confirmed to start off from a price tag of £122,745 with the Edition 1 beginning at a cost of £110,495.Both of these models are available from the time of launch. However if you would prefer to opt for the AMG GT model,a cost of £97,195 will come along with the vehicle from launch which will be approximately six months after the first two models arrive in showrooms. Speaking of the GTS and the Edition 1, it has been confirmed that the first set of deliveries to customers in the UK will arrive from April of next year.
